After the proclamation by Pope Francis of the extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, I would like to invite all of you, in a symbolic act, to enter the door of Mercy and to participate together with the Patriarchal Vicar of the Latins, the priests, all religious and faithful in the opening celebration of this Holy Year that introduces us to the infinite mercy of God who accepts our repentance and strengthens our faith.
God’s mercy is a true moment of encounter and a living experience of the closeness and tenderness of the Father. It is the fundamental law that resides in the heart of every person that looks with sincerity at his brother and everyone he interacts with.
Let us gather altogether in the light of the “power of the love of the Father who excludes no one” and look at His merciful face.
