At the invitation of Mr Schinas, Vice President of the EU Commission, the Religious Leaders of Cyprus working together within the framework of the RTCYPP, under the auspices of the Embassy of Sweden, gather at the EU House in Nicosia for an extremely fruitful dialogue on freedom of religion, peacebuilding & reconciliation.
During the meeting the religious leaders had an opportunity to discuss the agenda on the European Way of Life which is founded on the respect of human dignity, in a society in which pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity, and equality between men & women prevail. Joining the meeting were Ambasssdor of Sweden, Head of the EC Representation in Cyprus, Director of the Office of RTCYPP & Head of Vice President’s Cabinet.
Earlier that morning the religious leaders had the opportunity to meet with and welcome the new Special Representative of the UN Secretary General to Cyprus. (21.2.2022)
